Researches have found that leafy green veggies and various coloured fruits contain nutrients like lutein and zeaxanthin which helps in combating eye problems. They improve visual performance  and help prevent age related eye diseases such as cateracts and macular degeneration, a condition that eventually lead to blindness. Researches found that these nutrients are important for eye and body health. You can find these nutrients in vegetables like spinach, kale, broccoli, zucchini, turnip greens and brussels sprouts, and fruits like oranges, grapes, kiwis, apples, avocados and plums.
