But, what is Body ACTIVation???? How does it improve your fitness level????
Read on to understand how fantastic it is:
BODY ACTIVation is a dance fitness that allows you to explore and understand your body parts, especially those you may not be consciously aware that they are working for you all the time. When you are able to master those parts efficiently and effectively, it will help not only in the martial art or sports you are doing but even in your everyday activities. To do this, you’ll learn to perform body isolation from top to toe accordingly, you’ll also learn how to perform some body coordination exercises with the isolated parts of your body.
It is based on various dances including Salsa, Bachata and Hip Hop. Body ACTIVation is taken as “formless” (= “isolation” of different body parts throughout a dance) as it will be applicable to most forms of dancing because it is the foundation of dance itself. You need a level of understanding of your body for each different dance form. By already knowing your own body movements and structure, it will be more manageable to practice on your particular dance form or martial art.
In the classes you will be given exercises and drills to work on your body. You will be challenged both mentally and physically as body coordination tests your mind to work with your body. Isolation exercises will be great to target your respective body muscle groups, leaving you leaner, fitter and more agile.
