Moving onwards with our daily lives, we do know taking care of elderly and meeting their concern and needs are as important.
Congratulations to St Hilda for being the 1st elderly care centre in Singapore with Health Minister Gan Kim Yong opening and launching their centre on Friday morning!
Health Ministry wants to build up a total of 7 such centres by early 2014 to cater for the elderly and support active aging.
Mr Gan stressed the importance for more of these facilities to be built within the community as it makes it convenient for patients and even their caregivers.
St Hilda’s Community Services Centre is a place poised to offer a suite of services, aimed at enabling each senior to age in place.
They believe that care – needs of the elderly will change and are committed to enable the individual to continue his days with the family, the neighbourhood and the community he calls home.
Active Red is honored to support them in their cause and efforts in helping to engage the elderly as part of the Fitness and Wellness program every week.
We are once again happy to be able to help keep the seniors active and playing a part in helping the community!
