We’re about 10 months away from the opening of the highly anticipated Singapore Sports Hub! Projected to open in April 2014, everyone must be excited about the progress!
Construction of Asia’s up and coming destination for sports and entertainment has well been under way for over a year and the roof is finally up! Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Lawrence Wong, considered it a significant milestone in the development of this national icon.
Major events such as the Southeast Asian Swimming Championships and Women’s Tennis Association Championships are going to be held at the new Sports Hub. It’ll be a wonderful sight as many sports enthusiasts and spectators gather at the newly built arena to spur their favourite athletes on and catch all the sporting action!
The Sports Hub is going to be home to multiple venues such as the new National Stadium, Singapore Indoor Stadium, Sports Arena, Aquatics Centre, Water Sports Centre and Community Areas. It’s going to be excitement all around with sports, lifestyle and entertainment all under one big roof!
The erection of the Sports Hub signifies a new chapter in the sporting landscape of Singapore. It’s definitely also going to present Singaporeans with more opportunities to engage in a sport or two and stay active!
