Exercise Is Medicine Singapore (EIMS) is a programme spearheaded by Changi Sports Medicine Centre to make physical activity and exercise a standard part of preventing and treating diseases. In the long run, this would improve community health and reduce long-term health care costs.

Drawing principles from American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)’s Exercise is Medicine global initiative, EIMS is targeted at four target groups: 1) Primary care physicians, 2) Medical specialists, 3) Allied health professionals and nurses, and 4) Fitness professionals. It aims to equip them with tools and resources to prescribe exercise to prevent and treat over 40 chronic health problems.
